Rani Refreshments in partnership with UM Labs, the technology & innovation division of UM MENA recently launched an innovative multi screening execution at the Comic Con Dubai 2016. This on-ground media execution was crafted by combining old stream media - projection screens and the most consumed channel – mobile. UM Labs achieved this multi-screening experience with the support of technology designer Tedmob.
Comic Con visitors were urged to connect their mobile via a dedicated website to a grand screen at the Rani stand to Spin & Win by swiping their finger across their mobile screen activating the ‘Wheel of Adventure’ in real time to win various prizes. The thrill of wining nonstop prizes along with the smart use of technology created an overwhelming feedback, which resulted in the Rani stand being awarded "Best Content at Comic Con Dubai 2016”.
This execution at Comic Con is part of a series of a bigger campaign “Rani Float Wheel of Adventure” running across the months of April and May targeting teenagers in KSA, UAE, Oman, Qatar and Jordan, which invites people to use a spin the wheel mechanic --the Wheel of Adventure-- either online, in-store or in malls and win amazing prizes. The campaign connects the brand’s flavours to the fruit’s country of origin to drive awareness of the various available flavour.
