Interesting Times, the renowned Middle East-based boutique agency agency, has appointed Mahmoud Shaban as managing directorfor its newly launched Saudi office.

Although Interesting Times had previously been present in the KSA market, the agency has been sharpening its focus on Saudi Arabia since 2019.

In 2023, with a growing portfolio of projects, and a growing team of creatives, account executives, and strategists dedicated to the Saudi market, the natural next step was to establish specialized, localized leadership.

With over 14 years of experience in leading multinational branding, advertising & media agencies in KSA, Mahmoud Shaban looks like the ideal candidate to strengthen the agencys presence and foothold within the Saudi market.

On the consultancy side, Shaban has led entire operations at Lambie-Nairn, Y&R, Publicis Graphics, and ZenithOptimedia.

On the corporate side, he has occupied strategic Brand & Marcom planning roles. One notable example was the rebranding of STC, which led to its becoming the most valuable brand in the MENA region in 2017.

Right before joining Interesting Times, Mahmoud was entrusted with managing one of the largest communications agencies in Saudi Arabia: Fullstop. As Managing Director, he led the business transformation process, established a unique culture, and fostered a highly productive environment, thereby optimizing efficiency and increasing revenue.
