Dubai-based Senior Editor Athon Garcia to lead editorial strategy and partnerships for Net Influencer

Net Influencer has appointed Anthon Garcia as Senior Editor.  In his new role, Anthon will be responsible for shaping editorial strategy, developing partnerships, and mentoring junior editorial staff for both Net Influencer and its flagship newsletter, Influencer Weekly.

Established in 2021, the platform covers news at the intersection of e-commerce, influencer marketing, and digital media, delivering content that aims to inform both creators and the businesses that engage with them. 

Anthon has over 20 years of experience as a journalist, with a career spanning the Philippines, the United States, and the Middle East.

A contributing editor of Economy Middle East, European Business Review and World Financial Review, he has honed a deep understanding of global business trends, particularly in the evolving world of digital media and the burgeoning creator economy. Anthon also trained with former CNN Jakarta Bureau Chief and Nobel Laureate Maria Ressa on news reportage, storytelling and editorial leadership.
