So what is the best Christmas present an elderly person can get? Basically, something which cannot be bought from a store. Demco Properties, after the CNN election foray "Lebanon is calling", have majestically dipped their toes in the Christmas market.
A mother is calling her son over the phone to Paris and he is not picking up. The house is full of festive decorations. Grandchildren are at their teta's house celebrating a family get together. Boxes opened and children screaming. Grandmother has a bittersweet smile on her face. She goes out trying to be part of the commotion, then little by little, Santa approaches her - could he have an extra gift for her? Or - wait - as she turns around, it turns out Santa is the much awaited present. It is her son who came from Paris to join the festivities.
No talk, no copy, just pure basic and unabashed emotions. A simple line neatly ends the film: "To the millions of Lebanese abroad it's not the same without you--Lebanon is Calling" - which M&C Saatchi used as a rappel to the original 'Lebanon is Calling' ad by Adrenaline agency.
The objective of the campaign is to once again reconnect with the Lebanese Diaspora and invite the country’s expatriates to return home. Demco Properties got it very well for this Christmas.
