Doha-based PR and strategic communications agency BLJ Worldwide has announced changes to its senior leadership team following the resignation of CEO Justin Kerr-Stevens.

The move signals the firm’s continued focus on expanding its influence in Qatar and the wider region.

Iman Asante, previously General Manager, has been appointed as Acting Managing Director, while Hadia Saraya takes over as Acting General Manager.

Asante, who has been with BLJ for nearly seven years, brings over 17 years of international communications experience spanning Europe, Bermuda, and the Middle East. She has led BLJ’s Finance and Investments practice and was recently elected to the MEPRA Strategy Board. She has also been recognized in the PRWeek Middle East Power Book for the last two years for her contributions to the industry.

Saraya, a BLJ veteran of nine years, has more than 15 years of experience in corporate communications. She leads the agency’s Foundations & Education practice, drawing from previous roles at PepsiCo Egypt and Qatar-based consultancy TripleTwo. Her expertise covers diverse sectors, including FMCGs, sports, education, community development, and technology.

The leadership reshuffle follows the departure of Kerr-Stevens, who served as Managing Director from 2020 to 2022 before taking on the CEO role. Under his leadership, BLJ expanded its client portfolio across Qatar’s private, governmental, and semi-governmental sectors.

"As we enter this new chapter, our focus remains on elevating BLJ Worldwide’s position as a leading PR and strategic communications agency," said Asante. "We are committed to enhancing the services we provide to our clients while building on the strong foundation that Justin helped establish."

Saraya echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the agency’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-value strategic communication services. "BLJ Worldwide is a key player in the regional PR industry, and we are excited about the opportunities ahead to bring fresh perspectives and bold ideas to our clients," she said.

BLJ Worldwide, known for its award-winning campaigns and advisory services to major Qatari institutions, continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the country’s communications sector. The agency remains headquartered in Doha, serving clients across finance, education, sports, culture, and technology.
