In its first ever update after 16 years, Pentawards Trophy have been redesigned!
Developed by New York based agency Established, the brand new design for Pentawards Special Award trophies feature different colours, textures and materials “to deliver an unprecedented winning experience.”
Founded in 2007, Pentawards is a global platform and community for packaging design. It is also the first and only worldwide competition exclusively devoted to packaging design in all its forms.
Since inception, Pentawards has been recognizing excellence in packaging design around the world through its annual competition. In just 15 years, the competition has received more than 20,000 entries from more than 64 countries around the world. Each year the ceremonies are held in different locations around the world. The event invites all winners to celebrate their achievements and accept their awards on the stage of the global packaging design community.
The Pentawards Award is also called the five-star award or the five-pointed star award .
The Pentagon is the official logo of the Pentawards for five reasons : the pentagon is the shape of the historic city center of Brussels - where the competition started; the pentagram is a symbol of ancient beauty; the five fingers on the hand - an important design tool for mankind; The Five Star Award has five different award levels; humans have five primary senses for inspiration (i.e. sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch).
