The WINA – World Independent Advertising Awards-- have announced the shortlist of the 2021 edition.
Agencies from 35 countries and 5 continents participated in WINA 2021. There was active participation from Europe with submissions from agencies in Spain, Belgium, Hungary, Bulgaria, Germany, the United Kingdom, Portugal, France, Belgium, Romania, Italy and Greece.
The Americas had strong contenders as always, with winning agencies from Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, the United States, Ecuador, Honduras, Paraguay, Panama, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Puerto Rico.
Oceania, Asia and Africa are also featured on the shortlist, with participation from Australia, Thailand, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Taiwan.
From Dubai, EBSAR adv & pub, Glimpse, Multiply Marketing Consutancy are among the finalists. From KSA, UBRAND; From Qatar, Gem. And from Morocco, Boomerang Communication and Oh Délices Creative made it into the finals.
The sixth edition of the global festival for independent agencies, which was set to take place in Dubai on June 10 and 11, will now be held virtually one June 11, announced WINA organizers.
After taking into consideration recommendations by international health authorities, WINA made the decision to cancel the scheduled in-person event. However, the award ceremony will be streamed via Facebook and YouTube on June 11 at 14:00 hours (GMT-7); it will also be broadcast from the portals of allied media, which will be communicated in due course.
108 judges from five continents went into the assessment of entries submitted into 18 categories.
