A recent print campaign for the Toblerone chocolate brand has caught our attention for its powerful minimalism, as it features the chocolate\'s signature triangle shape along with colour blocks to recreate iconic movie posters. The campaign\'s slogan, which reads, \"The main piece of your films\" is designed to position the chocolate brand as a delicious go-to snack when watching a movie.
Can you guess which movies these are just by looking at the posters and before reading the below?
One of the ads displays a yellow triangle with a red border that is placed upside down and against a blue background -- the graphic is reminiscent of Superman's logo. Another features a black backdrop and a yellow triangle with a black zigzag down the middle. This design is reflective of a street setting and references the film Taxi Driver.
Another one, the simplest poster of the series uses two grades of blue hinting at the big blue, where the triangle looks like a shark fin, hence hinting at the movie Jaws. Lastly is a Titanic reference that is depicted with a silver triangle that pops out of a blue surface, signifying the tip of the infamous iceberg.
