The Clio Awards have announced their winners and shortlists for 2023, and the Middle East has yet again performed well, picking up 16 Clio statues, the majority of these going to the UAE.
IMPACT BBDO leads the Middle East with a Gold, a Silver and two Bronzes spread across two campaigns: their latest AnNahar work “Newspapers Inside the Newspaper Edition,” a Grand Prix winner earlier this year at Dubai Lynx 2023, and “Schoolgirl Newscasters” for EBM.
Horizon FCB has also picked up a Gold, and 3 Bronzes for “Breakchains with Blockchains,” a campaign that also won at Dubai Lynx.
Publicis Middle East follows with 2 Silvers and 3 Bronzes for their Jeep poster campaign.
Other winners include FP7, Havas Middle East, and Wunderman Thompson.
Clio Awards are one of the premier international awards competitions for the creative industry. Founded in 1959 to celebrate creative excellence in advertising, Clio today honors the work and talent at the forefront of the industry in a variety of specialized fields.
The 63rd annual Clio Awards will be held on April 25 at Gotham Hall, New York City, hosted by Anthony Andersen. Grand Clio winners for the year will also be announced that evening – both IMPACT BBDO and FCB Horizon are in contention for the Grand award with their Gold Clio winners.
