With the COVID-19 pandemic still on-going, ADFEST announces its decision that the ADFEST 2022 Lotus Awards will be a Virtual Awards Ceremony scheduled for Thursday 7 April 2022 at 12 pm (UTC +7).
Since 1998, ADFEST has been a place of creative gathering, of inspiration, of connection amongst old and new friends. Hosted in sunny, sandy, and breezy Pattaya, ADFEST has long been an annual favourite featuring thousands of entries from across the region and dozens of renowned keynote speakers from across the globe.
Vinit Suraphongchai, Chairman of ADFEST, said in a message sent to media worldwide and to ad players in the global ad industry: “There is no denying that the global pandemic since early 2020, has changed us all and how we connect forever. It has forced us to adapt, evolve, and overcome. ADFEST is no exception. With the safety of our delegates as our top priority, we chose to reduce our operations to a Virtual Award Show for the past couple of years, in the hope that if and when things revert to normal we could return to the full festival in Pattaya, our DNA in that respect.
“However, the ravages of Covid 19 worldwide have not subsided and the world economy is still recovering. We have therefore come to the sensible decision once again to stage a Virtual Award Show for ADFEST 2022 next year.
We hope you understand and support our effort to keep the spirit of ADFEST continuing to fly high in maintaining and uplifting the standard of creativity in the region to global acclaim. We have faith in the strength and perseverance of our community and that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Our thoughts are with you, your families, and colleagues until we can connect in person again.”

Founded in 1998, ADFEST is one of only eight regional creative festivals included in the WARC Creative Rankings, the annual worldwide league tables for the global advertising industry.
