VIRTUE, the agency that powers culture, has boosted its creative leadership by appointing John Davenport as Executive Creative Director for UAE, London, and Singapore.
Davenport has been given the remit of building on the agency’s world-renowned creative product and storytelling, delivering growth for both clients and VIRTUE Worldwide in key markets. He will report to Chris Garbutt, Global President, VIRTUE Worldwide.
The industry heavyweight brings more than 25 years of experience to the group, most recently as the Chief Creative Officer for WPP’s Ogilvy in Hong Kong. Prior to that, he served as CCO at Havas.
Chris Garbutt said: “It’s an immensely exciting time at VIRTUE as we continue to build a revitalised senior team around the world. For me, it was obvious that John would be the next piece in the puzzle. His experience, energy, and conceptual mindset will blow clients away.”
Incoming ECD, John Davenport, added: “I’ve spent my entire career following and admiring VICE and its products. To be part of the agency born at the heart of that is an incredible opportunity. VIRTUE by nature is rooted in culture, and its approach to work and the people making it happen made it an irresistible proposition.”
Davenport officially joined the Group in January this year, but now expands his geographic and technical remit.
The addition of Davenport, alongside a host of other recognised names, underscore VIRTUE Worldwide’s growth trajectory.
The agency continues to thrive in a new era, driven by AI and innovation, defined by culture.
