Despite the criticism and controversies, OnlyFans became one of the fastest-growing social media platforms and one of the best-performing companies in Europe. Its website traffic has also surged, especially in the past months.
According to data presented by OnlyAccounts.io, OnlyFans hit an average of one billion monthly visits in the first months of 2023, with 40% coming from the United States.
January was a Peak Month with over 1.1 billion Visits
The UK-based OnlyFans has seen its business thrive over the past years, reaching around 190 million registered users and 2.1 million content creators. This massive user base continues driving impressive website traffic.
In September 2022, OnlyFans.com saw 757 million monthly website visits from users worldwide, according to Seemrush data. By the end of the year, this figure jumped to 1.04 billion, showing a 38% increase in three months. However, in January, monthly visits peaked at 1.12 billion. Although this figure slipped to 1.056 billion in February, it still represents a massive 40% increase compared to September figures.
Statistics show users from the United States made around 40% of total website traffic in February, with 402.8 million visits that month. The United Kingdom and Mexico followed, with users from the two countries making 49.3 million and 48.6 million visits.
The Similarweb data showed other interesting facts about OnlyFans` website traffic. People spend, on average, 5 minutes and 15 seconds on the platform and click on 5.76 pages per visit.
Nearly one-third of all visits come from direct links, 35% from referrals, and around 15% from social. Out of its social media traffic, almost two-thirds of OnlyFans visits come from Twitter, around 12% from Instagram and 6% from YouTube.
The Number of Users Surged by Nearly 1,300% in Just two Years
The surging user base and impressive website traffic have helped OnlyFans to rank among the top websites in the United States and globally. According to Seemrush data, the London-based social and video platform was the 64th most popular website in the world in February and the 41st most popular website in the United States.
OnlyFans user count has also skyrocketed. In 2017, the platform had around 100,000 users. By the end of 2018, this figure jumped to over one million. The number of users continued surging in 2019 and hit 13.5 million, with the platform reaching almost 350,000 content creators that year.
In 2022, around 190 million people used OnlyFans, showing a massive 1,300% increase in just two years.
