Strategic leadership appointments signal a bold new chapter for PHD MENA's future growth.
Omnicom Media Group (MENA) has named Christian Fedorczuk CEO of PHD MENA.
With a career spanning four continents, Christian brings over two decades of global experience as a leader in media and creative industries, marking an exciting evolution for the company’s regional growth ambitions.
From his beginnings at OMD in Vienna to leading agencies across London, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, Christian has worked with some of the world’s most reputable brands and networks, including Omnicom Media Group (OMG), Dentsu, and IPG. For the last five years, he co-founded and grew a culture-led creative studio and production company in Tokyo’s vibrant Harajuku district, where his clients included icons such as adidas, Red Bull, LVMH, and Apple alongside grassroot culture brands.
Christian’s return to the Middle East marks a homecoming of sorts. Between 2007 and 2010, he played an instrumental role in the growth of Omnicom Media Group Dubai, gaining a deep understanding into the region’s dynamic market and has built lasting relationships in the process.
In addition to Christian’s appointment, Karen Doumet and Daniel Shepherd will step into new roles.
Karen Doumet, who has been critical to the recent success of PHD, will assume Regional Managing Director for the whole of MENA across all disciplines, and Daniel Shepherd will transition into the role of Chief Strategy Officer at Omnicom Media Group, reporting into the Group CEO.
“Christian is such a multi-faceted individual, structured and innovative in equal measures, well-travelled and a people person, he will fit perfectly at PHD, where effectiveness and creativity live in perfect harmony. I have been looking for the opportunity to bring him back and I am delighted to have now found it,” explained Elda Choucair, CEO of Omnicom Media Group MENA. “Christian will elevate our people, product, and performance, so we continue to build a future-ready organization for the benefit of all our stakeholders.”
“The spectacular growth of PHD in MENA in the last decade and a half is testament to the depth of talent Elda has assembled behind it where she has instilled a real competitive drive,” commented Christian Fedorczuk, the incoming CEO of PHD MENA. “The region has grown up so much since my last stint, however it has lost none of its ambition. At PHD, we have the opportunity to shape that next phase of growth at the core of the industry with our “Intelligence Connected” platform which I can’t wait to bring to more brands in the market.
Christian, whose appointment is effective January 1, will be headquartered in Dubai, reporting to Elda Choucair, CEO of Omnicom Media Group.
