What is going on at the IAA Lebanon Chapter?

Since the latest election of its new president Naji Boulos, the IAA Lebanon Chapter has been extremely active, launching several local events and spearheading new initiatives all designed to re-boost the ad community. And it is succeeding in doing so.

 

To pitch or not to pitch

Some of its most recent activities included the hosting of an insightful gathering focused on discussing pitch best practices and their implementation within the Lebanese advertising market.

The event featured Roy Haddad, former Director of WPP for the Middle East and Africa and former CEO of JWT, who shared his invaluable experience, insights, and recommendations.

Industry leaders came together to address the challenges in the current pitch process, leading to a productive discussion on strategies for improvement. The event concluded with a networking lunch, fostering connections and collaboration within the industry.

 

IAA Lebanon Relaunches International Advertising Association Young Professionals Chapter

The IAA Lebanon has relaunched the IAA Young Professionals (YP) chapter, dedicated to nurturing and empowering talents aged below 35 within the advertising industry.

The IAA YP chapter aims to provide young professionals with unparalleled opportunities for growth, networking, and professional development.

To inaugurate the relaunch, the IAA hosted a highly successful gathering where attendees had the privilege to learn more about the IAA YP and engage in a captivating Creative Masterclass titled "The 5 Cs of Creativity" presented by Naji Boulos President of the IAA Lebanon.

Membership for the IAA YP is available for a nominal fee of only $30, granting access to a plethora of benefits, including exclusive events, workshops, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities within both the local and global advertising community.

Boulos, expressed his enthusiasm for the relaunch, stating, "The high attendance of young professionals at our event demonstrates their eagerness to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of advertising in Lebanon. Our mission is to provide them with the tools, motivation, and support they need to excel and become exemplary professionals."

The success of the IAA YP chapter hinges on the active involvement of industry professionals in encouraging young talents to embark on this exciting journey of growth and development.

By end of May 60 young professionals registered as members. The board election is scheduled for mi-June.

 

Honoring IAA Lebanon's Two Compass Champions

Joe Ayache and Roy Farah have been recognized as winners of the prestigious IAA Champion Compass Award and the Young Leader Compass Award, respectively. This accolade was bestowed upon them at the 45th IAA World Congress held in Penang, Malaysia.

Joe Ayache, three times president of the local chapter has demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership within the IAA Lebanon. His efforts have significantly advanced the association's mission, fostering growth and innovation in the advertising industry.

Roy Farah, past president NDU IAA advertising and member of the YP chapter board has emerged as a dynamic and influential figure within the Young Professionals industry.

Both Joe and Roy have raised the Lebanese flag to new heights with their remarkable achievements.

Their recognition on an international stage underscores the significant impact they have made in their respective roles. The IAA Lebanon community celebrates their success and looks forward to their continued contributions to the industry.
