Cicero & Bernay Public Relations MENA (C&B) has promoted its former Director of Client Servicing, Tariq Al Sharabi, to Managing Director position. The appointment underpins C&B’s ongoing expansion strategy, in which Tariq has played an instrumental role since 2005.

Ahmad Itani, C&B COO said: “Tariq has played an instrumental role in the growth of C&B and the development of our expertise. He is a natural communicator and talented leader, and I look forward to Tariq taking C&B to new heights in his role as Managing Director. We have worked together for more than 10 years, and he has made an indelible mark on the client servicing and capabilities of the agency, and as our industry continues to evolve at a rapid pace I am confident in the direction Tariq will steer C&B.”

Tariq Al Sharabi added: “I have been in the communication industry for over 15 years and for much of that time, C&B has been my home. My main aim has been to unite our team and clients within a spirit of result-driven progress and proactivity, which has allowed us all to thrive in the competitive industry in which we work. C&B started life with four employees and we now have a team of over 40 communication experts from across the globe. It is a privilege to work alongside the C&B team, and going forward we will be continuing to take C&B to the next level together.”

As Managing Director, Tariq will focus on developing C&B’s new business and affiliation opportunities to drive the agency’s growth, while continuing to enhance its client services with innovative solutions that go beyond traditional methods. His mandate is to add value for C&B’s clients as the agency expands both its portfolio and footprint beyond the MENA region.

C&B is an award-winning public relations consultancy and part of The Publicity Network (Publinet), a marketing communication group that also includes specialised entities for creative consultancy, digital and social media solutions, event management, branding consultancy, experiential marketing and visual content.
