As a nod to its achievements, after being MENA’s first juror in 2018 in Round 1 of the Global Effies, Tahaab Rais, Regional Head of Strategy and Truth Central at FP7 MENAT, now becomes the first juror from the region, at the Global Effie finals to be held in New York next month.

The Global Effie Awards honor the most effective marketing communications efforts that run across multiple markets and regions worldwide. In 2018, FP7 won MENA’s first Global Effie in 2018 for its work on OMO. With Rais having won over a 130 Effie awards, he is is recognised as one of the top-most awarded strategists at the Effie Awards globally.

Commenting on this recognition, Tarek Miknas, CEO at FP7 MENA says, “As the voice of an evolving MENAT region, FP7 has always understood its role in creating a commercial art that holds both parts of the equation in equal importance - creative output and commercial Impact - for our clients. We know that investment in creativity without return does not serve our client partners. We have consciously built our offering on the pillar of effectiveness across all our agencies.”

FP7 has been the leading agency in the MENAT region at the Effie Awards over the past six years, consecutively winning the agency office (for its Dubai operation) and the Network of the Year from 2013 to 2018.

“We’re not only celebrating our 6th consecutive year as Effie’s most effective Agency and Network in the region,” adds Tarek, “but also our Global Effie ranking among the top 4 agencies in the world for the past six years. Last year, FP7 was the first agency in the MENA region to win at the Global Effie Awards, and this year, our Regional Head of Strategy, Tahaab Rais will be a juror in the final round of the prestigious event, celebrating work that has worked for clients across the globe.”

Commenting on his appointment, Tahaab says, “Our relentless pursuit to uncover untold truths that’ll move people and help our brands play a meaningful role in people’s lives, coupled with our consistent focus for creative effectiveness across every possible brief for every possible brand have frankly been the secret to our agency’s pretty unprecedented achievements globally.”

He adds, “I believe that the Effies are the most important awards show. Because they’re (primarily) judged by marketers who focus on the real impact of creativity on brands and businesses – stuff that matters. And more and more marketers and our own clients are seeing the value in winning an Effie, far above other awards, because it creates a culture of effectiveness within teams. So, I’m grateful to Global Effies for this nomination. I’m thankful to MENA Effies for giving MENA agencies the platform to shine globally. I’m grateful to Tarek for his trust and support. Our clients have been a key part of this journey, challenging us and having faith in us. And importantly, this is a nod from Global Effies to my colleagues as well as my strategy teams across MENAT who help bring our purpose to life and elevate our product every day.”

The Global Effie competition, which celebrates marketing communication efforts that have proven their effectiveness in multiple markets around the world, will have its finals judged in New York in April 2019.
