Ipsos, the French research firm in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), celebrated the move to new premises and assignment of a new Country Director in Cairo, through organizing a cocktail reception at the French Embassy in Egypt. Under the Patronage of the French Ambassador to Egypt, Stéphane Romatet, the cocktail reception was also an occasion to celebrate the 30 years of growth and success in the MENA region.
The event took place in the presence of official figures, key players in the media industry, and members of Ipsos’ regional and global management teams, in addition to a number of French companies and diplomats.
The French Ambassador opened the ceremony welcoming all invitees. He was then followed by Ipsos’ CEO for Asia, Middle East and Africa, Christophe Cambournac, CEO of Ipsos in MENA, Edouard Monin, and Ipsos in Egypt’s Country Manager, Yasser Omar, delivered keynote addresses, shedding light on the new coworking space, the Egyptian team and its expertise and the future of research.
The French Ambassador in Egypt, Stéphane Romatet, declared that “it was a great pleasure to have opened the doors of the French residence in Cairo to Ipsos.” He underlined that, “as many French companies, Ipsos strongly believes – and rightly so – that Egypt is a place to be, a place to invest, a place to expand its activities and local footprint.”
“Ipsos’ strategy towards Egypt was in a way very illustrative of the French perception of Egypt: a country of potential, a hub for business and development,” he added.
“The research industry is rapidly changing, and as entrepreneurs and innovators, we take pride in leading these changes and adapting to the local markets. Egypt is one of those really important markets to us, one that we would continue operating in for the years to come,” explained Christophe Cambournac.
In his turn, Edouard Monin, elaborated on the local operations in Egypt and their significance to Ipsos both regionally and globally.
“It is always a pleasure to be here in Egypt, a country which we started working in since 2006. A country that has hosted our growth right from our early beginnings of expansion into the region. To us, Egypt is not only our second home, but a key market in our network of 89 countries in which Ipsos is present in worldwide. In fact, it is one of the key markets for us in the MENA region, and one of very high importance to our regional and global initiatives,” he stated.
Ipsos in Egypt’s Country Manager, Yasser Omar, stated that he is very glad to join the team at this point in time, as he anticipates more growth within the market with all the positive changes on a local and global level. “With the new offices, our team of experts and the new era of Total Understanding, it just got easier for us to service our clients and help them better achieve their business goals,” he explained.
With the new offices and management, Ipsos has become even stronger and has a wider reach in the Egyptian market. The company continues to release new services keeping up with consumer needs and further providing clients with resources and easier platforms to facilitate the business process.
Ipsos in the MENA region was founded in 1988 and currently operates in 15 countries around Middle East and North Africa, covering 20 countries in the region, through research activities.
