Nadim Khoury has taken over as chief executive of Grey Group MENA following the departure of Eric Hanna.
Khoury, who was previously chief operating officer, will report to Nirvik Singh, chairman and chief executive of Grey Group Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. Hanna has left to pursue other opportunities. No further explanation of his departure was offered.
The promotion of Khoury and the exit of Hanna follows the recent arrival of Ali Shabaz from Grey Singapore, who took over as chief creative officer at Grey Middle East, replacing Mike Shackle.
Discussing the changes, Singh said: “We want to thank Eric for his hard work in the time spent at Grey and wish him success with all his future endeavours. I would also like to welcome Nadim to his new role as CEO. He has proven to be a dynamic leader who has distinguished himself at Grey with his strategic thinking and exceptional business acumen. Over the years, he has played an instrumental role in raising the profile of Grey Group across the Middle East and I am confident he will take us to the next level.”
Khoury added: “I am committed to driving further growth in order to provide greater value to our clients, associates and stakeholders. I believe 2017 is shaping up to be a year of tremendous potential. I also wanted to thank Eric for his mentorship during the years we have worked together and want to wish him the best of luck for the future.”
Khoury has been with Grey since 1999 and became chief operating officer in 2013.
