VML UAE has appointed Aricio Fortes as the Chief Creative Officer (CCO)- UAE. He will partner with Faysal AbdulMalak, UAE CEO, to further elevate creative excellence.
Aricio Fortes brings with him a wealth of experience in driving award-winning work for some of the world's largest brands and new business ventures.
With an illustrious career spanning over two decades, Aricio has amassed an impressive collection of accolades and recognitions, including: more than 40 Cannes Lions awards; part of Cannes Lions Agency of the Year 2009; and Cannes Lions Agency of the Year 2015 on the Promo track; over 20 One Show and D&AD Pencils, including Yellow and White Pencils; serving as a jury member in prestigious creativity shows such as Cannes Lions, One Show (3 times), D&AD, amongst others; recognition as a nominee for Greater China Creative Person of the Year (Campaign Magazine 2019).

Prior to joining VML Dubai, Aricio Fortes held creative leadership positions at globally acclaimed agencies, including Pereira O'Dell, Africa, Ogilvy Brazil, DM9DDB and BBDO China. With over a decade of experience as a Chief Creative Officer, his journey in the industry has been marked by groundbreaking campaigns, strategic insights, and a passion for pushing creative boundaries.
In his new role, Aricio Fortes will lead the creative teams at VML Dubai, spearheading initiatives that elevate brand storytelling, digital experiences, and overall creative output for clients.
