Global call for entries: Luum Awards nearing deadline
Posted on 2024 Sep,24

The Luum Awards is nearing deadline for its call for entries.

There is just one week left for submitting cases to the 2024 Luum Awards. Entries from The Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa, and confirmations regarding participation in Luum volunteer experience and academic gathering for creatives in the Sacred Valley or Peru are being received.

Established in 2021, Luum Awards is a global festival that exclusively awards the best social and environmental campaigns.

In addition to its free registration format (In Luum you can upload up to five entries, without paying any registration fees), the festival stands out for only recognizing one winner in each subcategory. That is to say, Luum only hands out Gold medals; there are no second or third places.

Geneva continues to be the headquarters for the Awards, but this year Luum will only hold a gathering for judges in Switzerland.

The panel of judges is mainly composed of talented advertising and marketing professionals from the five continents but professionals from well-known associations, communities and governmental and non-governmental entities also participate.

Some 80 judges have been confirmed, among them: Hope Nardini (Global Executive Creative Director, Grey USA), Natalia Dongo-Soria Saito (Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Officer, PFP Unicef), Laurence Hoenig (Head of the Creative Content Unit, Médecins Sans Frontières Switzerland), Bontu Yousuf (National Platforms & Circular Economy, World Economic Forum Switzerland), Sam Haynes (Global Creative Director, Grey London), Roberta Harada (Executive Creative Director, VML Sao Paulo), Francesco Grandi (Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy UK), Raimundo Undurraga (Chief Creative Officer, VML Chile), Omar Fabián Jiménez (Chief Creative Officer LATAM, Studio X (WPP x The Coca-Cola Company), Marco Versolato (Chief Creative Officer, VML Singapore), Carissa Jackson (Associate Creative Director, Publicis Australia), James Fox (CEO, Havas London), Oana Bulexa (CEO, Partner Publicis Groupe Romania), are part of this academic team.

Last year, VMLYR HEALTH Spain, VMLYR NY and VMLYR São Paulo, won Agency of the Year with their campaign “Dogs Without Borders.” Which agency will be recognized for the year’s best for social and environmental campaigns in 2024? Winners will be announced on November 7.

For the first time in three editions, the festival will not hold its annual event at the Hilton Geneva, rather, it will reinvest the operational and logistical costs of hosting the event in NGOs in Peru, particularly in VIDAWASI, a pediatric hospital that has saved the lives of dozens of Andean children, in the Sacred Valley of Peru.
