Qatar Petroleum has announced its rebranding to QatarEnergy in an effort to reflect the new purpose of the company amidst the transformation of the industry.

This rebranding marks a major turning point in the company’s history. Since its origin, the state-owned oil and gas firm has gone through three name changes: from Qatar Petroleum Company (QPC) to Qatar General Petroleum Corporation (QGPC), then becoming Qatar Petroleum (QP) 20 years ago and now updating it to QatarEnergy (QE).

The entity’s new slogan is “Your Energy Transition Partner.”
