Dubai-based MCN (Middle East Communications Network) has launched Craft, a dedicated production agency. Part of the McCann Worldgroup roster of companies, Craft is set to enhance MCN’s production capabilities in response to growing client demand.
For the Middle East creative and communications industry, the launch of Craft means access to the expertise of a globally connected, tech-powered production house that specializes in digital, mobile development, content creation, print, broadcast, transcreation and creative campaign amplification.
To lead regional operations, Marcus Johnston has been appointed Managing Director for the Middle East. He relocated to Dubai from the London EMEA hub and will oversee production in the MENA region. Marcus has been with McCann Worldgroup for 15 years, and with Craft since 2014.
During his time in Europe, he introduced streamlined content solutions for a range of clients across the continent, including L’Oréal, Aldi, Opel, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Pandora.
Commenting on the appointment, Ghassan Harfouche, Group CEO of MCN said, “We are excited to welcome Craft to the MCN Hive office in Dubai and for Marcus to join us as MD. He brings unparalleled insight, together with extensive knowledge of the latest proprietary technology and production processes required to meet clients’ needs. I expect Craft Middle East to quickly establish themselves in the region and to set new standards of excellence for production.”
Marcus added: “The last few years have been transformative for the creative sector, with intelligent production solutions increasingly enabling speed and continuity at scale. I am delighted to be joining the MCN team and look forward to adding my own experience and expertise to the group’s established leadership, creativity and production excellence”.
