The One Club for Creativity has announced 14 firms in Pakistan, Turkey and UAE along with Egypt and Lebanon have 59 entries selected by its global juries of top creative leaders as finalists for The One Show 2021.
MENA finalists
The One Show 2021 finalists from the region are as follows:
Pakistan: 7 finalists
Ogilvy Pakistan Islamabad has all seven of the country’s finalists this year, all of them for “Naming the Invisible by Digital Birth Registration” on behalf of Telenor Pakistan.
Turkey: 5 finalists
Havas Turkey İstanbul has all five finalists from Turkey, all on behalf of client Reckitt Benckiser-Finish. Three are for “Water Index” and two with Depo Film and ABT, both in İstanbul, are for “Birds Will be Back”.
United Arab Emirates: 47 finalists
‿ and us Dubai has the most One Show 2021 finalists in the region with 11. Eight of them are for “Self-Timing Soap” for Deliveroo and Lush, and three are for Deliveroo “The Waiting”.
Memac Ogilvy Dubai has seven finalists, including six with Goldmine Films Dubai for Al Futtaim IKEA “Buy With Your Time”. The other is for “Lonely Valentine Specials” on behalf of YUM Restaurants International - KFC.
FP7 McCann Dubai has five finalists, including three with Carat and Digitas LBI, both in Dubai, for MasterCard “Astronomical Sales''. The agency also has one each with Initiative Cairo and Dejavu and Mango Jam Studio, both in Dubai for Home Center “A Dad's Job”, and with McCann Beirut, FP7 McCann Cairo and In Hype Dubai for “Rephrasing Parenthood'' on behalf of Babyshop.
FP7 McCann Cairo with Magna Egypt and Fekr Productions, both in Cairo, also has one for Knorr “Rooftop Farms”.
Five One Show 2021 finalists go to MullenLowe MENA Dubai, all with NuFormer Amsterdam for “Double Moon” on behalf of UAE Government Media Office.
TBWA\RAAD Dubai has four finalists, including two each for KFC Arabia “Shift+K+F+C” and with Wonderful Productions Beirut for The Lebanese Army “PeaceCamo”.
Also with four finalists is The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives with MullenLowe MENA Dubai, all for its own “The World’s Tallest Donation Box”.
VMLY&R Dubai has four One show 2021 finalists, including three for Colgate “Mothers Smile Strong” and one for “The Kitchen is for Everyone” on behalf of General Mills - Betty Crocker.
Impact BBDO Dubai has three finalists, including two with Impact BBDO Beirut and Boomtown Productions Dubai for An Nahar Newspaper “The New National Anthem Edition” and one with Impact BBDO Beirut for “Dream Number” on behalf of Loto Libanais.
Havas Creative DXB Dubai has two One Show 2021 finalists, both for LEGO Saudi Stores “LEGO News Rebuilt”.
Global finalists
Globally, Droga5 New York leads the way with 44 finalist entries. Other leading finalist agencies are FCB Chicago with 35, DDB Chicago with 30, and AMVBBDO London and TBWA\Media Arts Lab Los Angeles each with 29.
Woojer in Herzliya, Israel with Area 23 New York and Claire’s Place Foundation Redondo Beach, have The One Show 2021 entry with the most finalists: 27 for Woojer “Sick Beats”. FCB New York has 26 finalists for “Michelob ULTRA Courtside” for Michelob ULTRA with Microsoft and the NBA.
All finalists will be awarded a Gold, Silver, Bronze Pencil or Merit at this year’s One Show, to be announced on June 10 during the online Creative Week 2021.
In the lead up to the awards ceremony during Creative Week, The One Club will announce all Best of Discipline winners for The One Show 2021 on June 1. Members of creative teams responsible for a select group of top winners will discuss the work with jury members in live streaming sessions on June 10.

Under the banner “Connect. Provoke. Inspire.,” Creative Week 2021 will include The One Show 2021, historic ADC 100th Annual Awards, Young Ones Student Awards and Type Directors Club special awards ceremonies, dozens of general programming panels and workshops across Awards, Agency, Main and Education Stages, and premium events on the VIP Stage including the Executive Creative Summit for agency principals and a day-long Creative unConference.
